About Barry Smith: Barry currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Home Services for Independent Living. He is also a charter member on the Board of Directors for the RT Charitable Foundation. Barry recently took on a new adventure, volunteering as a gifted mentor at Maxey Elementary School. After fifteen years in the computer business, Barry decided he would rather work with people, so he joined Farmers Insurance Group as an insurance agent. He is still wondering what took him so long to make that decision! Prior to starting his computer career he spent two years as a high school teacher and coach. Now, he is back in the "Real World Classroom", teaching and coaching people who want to maximize the value of their insurance premium dollars.
